I spent 10 years in DC. Every day was an honor and an adventure.
No, this isn’t AI, just a cardboard cutout from a Seattle fundraiser! (Picture does not imply endorsement)
I learned from the Master. Spent five years on the Ted Sox Team! That’s me on the left, staffing a press interview at “The Swamp.” Good times.
With the WA delegation at the 1996 Democratic convention. That’s me on the left in the cap.

Holding a press conference outside then Rep. Rick White’s office in 1998 criticizing his contributions from the tobacco industry. Good times.
I worked to help elect Jay Inslee back to Congress in 1998. This is from a fundraiser when he was running for Congress. (Picture does not imply endorsement.)
…Wading in at the other end of the political spectrum, a man without children and tired of paying for education levies asks, "Why should my taxes go to support a kid in school in Ohio?"
A heated debate breaks out between two women over the adequacy of the minimum wage. When that's over, a woman in the front row, asking what turns out to be the last questions of the day, grills White over votes he has taken on women's health-care issues.
Turns out the woman, Jenny Holladay, is a Democratic activist who's trying to make a mess of things. She succeeds. As the meeting breaks up, she is followed out of the auditorium by a self-described "moral, Christian conservative" woman who is offended by her defense of Clinton.
Off to the side, White greets the people leaving the auditorium, much as a preacher does at the end of the sermon. He looks tired.
Leading a protest outside then-Rep. Doc Hastings’s office with Buttman.
